The system can be used in wired or wireless configuration and with Expo’s IP65 compliant, hot swap battery system or with mains power supply. For applications where wireless control and data acquisition are used (e.g. blending) the mPAT comprises a processor that allows on board data storage in the event wireless signal is intermittent. The on board processor communicates with a remote computer, so that measurements can be viewed and recorded in real time. All data is recorded locally within the embedded electronics such that no data is lost in the event of a communication failure.
The mPAT has all the supporting technology appropriate for the unit operations in which it can be used, such as a trigger switch for blending, heated probes control for wet and dry granulation and connectivity to transflectance and transmission probes for solution and suspension applications. In addition to having a portfolio of optimized sampling technologies, the mPAT can also utilize Expo Technologies’ ePrecision standard for use with measurement technologies where high baseline stability is required for continuous or long running processes.
Batteries and mains charging system are supplied. Two batteries can be charging on the mains charger while additional batteries are utilized on the system. Both the batteries and the battery charger have inbuilt charge indicator levels.
Having two batteries attached to the system allows power to be hot swapped.
